Installing the network/bluetooth adapter driver allows systems to read network chipset information and manufacturer name, as well as connect to a network without using an Ethernet cable (wirelss network/bluetooth adapter). However, in order to use all available features of this hardware, you must install the appropriate drivers. Windows usually offer a generic driver that allows systems to recognize the network component. Moreover, constantly scan driver updates by Driver Genius or enable the Scheduled Scan function in Options- Schedule to make sure that you will not miss a new release. Driver Genius will install the driver automatically, smoothly and silently. If you consider updating this driver package by Driver Genius, all you need to do is clicking the Update button beside this driver update. The driver package provides the installation files for Qualcomm Atheros AR81xx Drivers Version 2.1.0.27. The only difference I noticed in the router setup is that the Archer has Group Key Update Period set to 0 (disable) while the Verizon is 3600 (1 hour.) I'm not sure if this has any impact, and I haven't changed it yet because I haven't installed the latest firmware for the Archer.Qualcomm Atheros AR81xx Drivers Version 2.1.0.27

I more trouble with the connection to a new "Archer C8" router than an older "MI424WR-GEN3I" Verizon router.

I remember adding "hohwcrypt=1" years ago to fix a similar issue. In the ath9k I changed the driver to "nohycrypt=0", and that seemed to stop the resets, at least for now. I have identified two items, but can't explain.

I am having similar issues with this card, but in a HTPC box. The shortest screws do not want to catch the threads again, but I think it is reasonably put back together again and wifi operation has *knock on wood* been working. So, I took the plunge yesterday to dismantle the laptop to see if reseating the card would help. By chance, the wifi would sometimes start working again, sometimes for just half an hour, sometimes until i had to move my stuff again. So, due to lugging around various mic cables, mics, sound cards and stuff, I've dragged the laptop around in a carry-on with wheels.
